AORN Foundation Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Celebrating 20 years of supporting the nurses who make surgery safe

For 20 years the AORN Foundation has focused on improving patient safety by supporting perioperative nurses through funding educational learning resources, scholarships to support the continued advancement of perioperative nurses, and patient safety initiatives and research.

The Foundation will be celebrating its 20 years with an Education is Ageless campaign. Whether you are a student considering a career in perioperative nursing, are a registered nurse thinking about going back to school to continue your education, or are looking to maintain professional competency – the AORN Foundation is here to help. The Foundation supports perioperative nurses of all ages and stages in their career though professional development and academic scholarships and learning tools like tool kits, webinars, and regional seminars. Over the course of the past 20 years, the Foundation has awarded 1.7 million in academic scholarship and raised 2 million in patient safety resources.

The Foundation will celebrate its anniversary throughout 2012, with the primary celebration held at AORN Congress, March 24-29. Join the Foundation in celebrating at our fun “fundraising” events. Learn more.
