AORN NC Coastal Chapter 3405 honors Rick McDaniel as their OR Hero.
As an OR nurse for many years, Rick has been a top notch preceptor to all incoming nurses. He has provided the demonstration and the rationale for OR nursing. As an OR nurse, he has the knowledge, expertise, and ethics that each and every OR nurse, or any nurse for that matter, would hope to attain.

He has been a tireless AORN member who has delivered teamwork, discussion, education, advocacy, and educational fundraising ideas. He began and sustained our annual golf tournament for several years. Rick volunteers his free time at the Food Bank and has shown us that AORN chapter members can promote ourselves individually and as a chapter through volunteering.
Rick graduated from East Carolina University College of Nursing, has an active role on the advisory board, and is a very proud ECU Pirate Club supporter.

Honor OuR Heroes Campaign
Donations can be made in memory of a special individual, or in honor of someone for a service anniversary, birthday or simply for their contribution to safe patient care. Notification of your tribute gift will be sent on your behalf to each individual you honor through a donation.
Gifts to the AORN Foundation can make a difference in the lives of perioperative nurses today and in generations to come. Every donation helps the Foundation fulfill its mission by funding continuing education, scholarships, leadership development training, and research.
