Specialized Periop 101 Courses
We Set the Standard So You Can Raise the Bar
As health care educators look for programs to train not only perioperative nurses, but others in the surgical team, many recognize that the education included in Periop 101: A Core Curriculum™ is useful for other health care professionals working in the surgical environment. Many of the 25 learning modules have applications for others in the surgical team, such as OB RN circulators, phyisican assistants (PAs), residents, medical students, interns, advanced practice nurses, and other allied health professionals. To meet this demand, AORN is creating specialized Periop 101 courses that are specific to other members of the surgical team.
The first specialized course created is for OB RN Circulators and a course for PAs, residents, medical students, interns, advanced practice nurse, and allied health professionals is also available.
NEW! Ambulatory Periop 101 is also now available. This specialized Periop 101 course can be used to ensure that the surgical patient in the ambulatory setting receives the highest level of care. The course contains 26 modules, including two ambulatory-specific modules developed by experienced ASC nurses.
